It is not uncommon for individuals and couples to experience significant trauma or difficult life circumstances. My passion is helping those in these situations to find healing and strength. I seek to help my clients, who range from teenagers to adults, individuals, couples, and families, to find strength, balance, and healing.
Through using evidence-based techniques and developing a strong alliance, I hope to help my clients find their happiest, most-authentic selves. I am comfortable getting into the trenches with them and being a part of their journey, no matter where it might lead us. I believe in my clients and I believe in the work I do.
My expertise and training are in couple’s therapy and addressing trauma, grief, and crises of all kinds. This includes depression, anxiety, pornography addiction, sexual abuse, teen issues, and men’s issues. I am a trained Prepare & Enrich facilitator- focusing on pre-marital and marriage therapy. I know each of my clients is unique, and as such, I do not employ a one-size-fits-all approach. My clients can expect to be treated as valued individuals.
My education background includes a BS in Psychology with a minor in Family Studies from Boise State University and a Master’s Degree in Counseling- Marriage, Couple, & Family Counseling and Trauma, Grief, & Crisis from Northwest Nazarene University. My license number from the state of Idaho is: LCPC-8659. Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my wonderful wife, Melissa, and our family. We enjoy being outside, being actively engaged in our church and volunteering, and going on adventures. I often speak to and lead workshops with youth groups, religious organizations, and community organizations on topics that include mental health, emotional well-being, parenting, anger management, improving relationships, and leadership. I am happy to make myself available to speak to any such group near the Treasure Valley.
